Preparation, Participation, & Pride Student Rubric 

This grade allows you to display your civic & social expectations from our Mission Statement.  Focusing on your Preparation, Pride, & Participation in your daily work. 

UA & Suspensions = 0 for the class, UT = 6+ points off (depending on the amount class time missed, each expectation is worth 6 points.  Any assignment turned in late will be 10 points taken off the week’s average.

        
Prepared for Learning:

 Comes to class with notebook       
Comes to class with a pencil       
    (pen ok for history only!)   
Sits appropriately in the seat           
Remains alert during class       
Comes to class on time       
Avoids disrupting the class whenever possible, unless applicable
Doesn’t bring food into the room  (water is fine)   

Actively Participates in Learning: 

Gets involved in class discussion   
Helps other students when appropriate
Uses class time wisely           
Offers appropriate commentary &/or questions

Demonstrates Pride in Learning & Work: 

Works well alone or in small groups to get assigned work completed
Respectful to others in the class       
Takes quality notes               
Follows directions well               
Doesn’t display P.D.A* according to Telstar Student Handbook
Is a positive influence on the learning environment
